About Colin
Colin was getting to be a veteran within country music; he started his carrier in 1978 with his English band, performing round about in Britain.He recorded his first single in 1989, later to be followed up by two more singles, and in 1996 he recorded his first CD “The Best Of Colin Clark”. The CD was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, with some of USA’s best studio musicians. This CD has done well on the European Country Charts, and it has turned up on Worldwide Independent Top 300 for several years.Colin’s repertoire spans from Johnny Cash, who has been his greatest influence, to big names like Merle Haggard, Jim Reeves and Waylon Jennings, just to name a few.In 2000 he was awarded an Entertainer of The Year Award by the German organization “Independent Country Music Association, Germany”, of which, among others, he is very proud.Later in his career, Colin was on a trip to Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, where he met some of his American country colleagues. On this occasion he was invited to “Best of Texas Award Show” in Beaumont, Texas, where he had great success.Colin lived in Denmark, where he moved in 1997. One could experience him here at the famous Silkeborg Festival, as well as in country clubs, where he had been backed up by various Danish bands.For a while he was performing with “Midnight Cowboys” and later on with The Bhost Riders at, among other places, Copenhagen Country Music Club’s Festival in Ishoej (Copenhagen). Not only this; he was also been on stage warming-up for the Bellamy Brothers in Copenhagen, Denmark.Colin has released 2 albums. The first was in 1996 “The Best Of Colin Clark”, recorded in Nashville by Comstock Records.The nest one, “Trucking Back With The Ghost Riders” in 2002, was recorded with his Danish Band, The Ghost Riders.Lately Colin has had solo performances as special guests at various bands in Denmark and Germany, and once again appeared on the Country music Festival in Silkeborg, Denmark, on the same stage as Hal Ketchum and Stonewall Jackson.Colin was doing very well in Germany with the great country band “Country Delight” whom he met in Danndorf, Germany, in 2004, and two years ago they decided to play together, and they had a lot of venues together in the Berlin area, untill Colin passed away in July 2010.
